Snake Typing Game
The classic snake, steered by typing. Each side of the board shows a letter: type it and the snake turns that way. The letters change after every turn, so you have to keep reading.

Ready?
Each side of the board shows a letter. Type a letter to turn the snake that way. The letters change after every turn, so keep reading! Eat apples to grow, and don't hit the walls or yourself.
How to play Snake Typing
- Press Start. The snake moves to the right on its own.
- Look at the four letters around the board: up, down, left and right.
- Type a letter to turn the snake in that direction. All four letters change after each turn.
- Eat apples to grow. Each apple makes the snake a little faster.
- The game ends if the snake hits a wall or its own tail.
Typing the letter for the direction you're already going, or for straight backwards, doesn't count as a turn and is scored as a miss.
What Snake Typing trains
Unlike word games, Snake Typing is about finding single keys fast, without looking down. That builds the key-to-finger map in your head that touch typing depends on. Because the letters are random, every key on the keyboard gets practice, not just the common ones.
Tips
- Plan your next turn while the snake is still moving straight.
- Keep all fingers on the home row so every letter is one short reach away.
- Stay away from the walls when the snake gets long. Open space gives you time to read.
