Set yourself a goal and go for it. Each challenge is a typing test with a target and sometimes a twist. Hit the target to earn a classic 88×31 badge for your collection.

30 WPM Club
Reach 30 WPM in a 1-minute test with at least 90% accuracy.
50 WPM Club
Reach 50 WPM in a 1-minute test with at least 92% accuracy.
70 WPM Club
Reach 70 WPM in a 1-minute test with at least 94% accuracy.
100 WPM Club
The big one: 100 WPM in a 1-minute test with at least 95% accuracy.
Perfectionist
Type for 30 seconds at 25 WPM or more with 100% accuracy. Fixing a typo still counts as one.
No Backspace
Backspace is switched off. Reach 35 WPM in 1 minute with at least 95% accuracy.
Sudden Death
One wrong key ends the test. Survive the full 30 seconds at 20 WPM or more.
Marathon
Keep up 40 WPM for 5 whole minutes with at least 92% accuracy.

How the typing challenges work

Choose a challenge, then type as you would in a normal typing test. The timer starts with your first key. When it stops, your result is checked against the goal. Both parts of a goal count: a 50 WPM Club run at 85% accuracy doesn't pass, because speed without accuracy isn't a skill worth a badge.

The special rules

No Backspace. The Backspace key does nothing. Every key you press stays, so you learn to slow down just enough to get it right the first time.
Sudden Death. The first wrong key ends the test on the spot. Survive the full 30 seconds to pass. It's the best cure for rushing.
Perfectionist. 100% accuracy, and a typo you fix still counts as a mistake. Calm, steady typing wins.
Marathon. Five minutes at 40 WPM or more. A real test of stamina.

Tips for beating the challenges

Work up the clubs in order: 30, then 50, then 70 WPM. Each one is a real step up.
If accuracy is what fails you, try Sudden Death a few times. It quickly shows where you rush.
