The short version
- You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name or email to use the site.
- Everything you type in a test, game or lesson stays in your browser. It is never sent to us.
- A few settings, such as earned badges, are saved in your own browser only.
- Typing95 is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show and measure those ads, and you can control this.
Who we are
This policy covers the website Typing95 at typing95.com ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, email contact@typing95.com.
What we do not collect
The typing tests, lessons, games, challenges, calculator and certificate maker all run entirely in your browser. The text you type, your scores, the name you put on a certificate and any text you paste into the custom typing test are never uploaded or stored by us. We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own, and we have no user accounts or sign-up forms.
Settings saved in your browser
To remember a few choices between visits, the site saves them in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
| Name | What it remembers |
|---|---|
| keyboard-guide | Whether you turned the on-screen keyboard off. |
| typing-challenges-earned | Which challenge badges you have earned. |
| alphabet-best-… | Your best times in the alphabet typing test. |
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel automatically processes technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Cookies are also used to limit how often you see an ad, to measure ads and to prevent fraud, even when ads are not personalized.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your consent choices
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from Google, a certified consent management platform, asks for your choice before personalized ads or cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy settings button at the bottom of every page. Wherever you are, you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
Typing95 is made for a general audience, and parts of it, such as the typing lessons and games, are suitable for children. The site never asks for personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and message. We use them only to reply to you and delete them when they are no longer needed. We never sell or share them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold almost no personal information, most requests will concern emails you sent us; for data held by Google in connection with ads, use Google's controls above or contact Google. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email contact@typing95.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. See also About Typing95 and Contact.
