Owl Typing Game

It's getting late and the owls are flying home. Each owl carries a word. Type it before the owl reaches the far side of the sky, and it lands safely.

Ready?

Owls are flying home across the sky. Type the word on each owl before it flies off the edge. Lose three owls and the game is over.

How to play Owl Typing

  1. Press Start. Owls fly in from the left, each in its own lane.
  2. Type an owl's word. The first letter picks that owl and its label turns yellow.
  3. Finish the word and the owl is home. You score one point per letter.
  4. If three owls fly off the right edge, the game is over.

Several owls can be in the sky at once, and more arrive as time goes on. After 40 seconds the words get longer.

What Owl Typing trains

With up to four words on screen, Owl Typing rewards reading ahead: choosing the next target while you finish the current one. That same habit is what lets fast typists keep a smooth rhythm in a normal typing test.

Tips

  • Go for the owl that is furthest across; when first letters match, it is picked automatically.
